Benefits
We
feel that it is important to offer attractive
benefits to attract and retain quality Security
Officers.
All
uniforms and equipment are provided at no charge
to our officers. An allowance is added to each
Security Officers hourly wage to help in cleaning
costs associated with the uniform. SPS issues
both winter and summer style uniforms depending
on the season.
Full
time Officers receive one week paid vacation for
one year of service. After two years of service,
they receive two weeks paid vacation. Part time
Officers receive a paid vacation after two years
of service; the time period is based on the number
of hours worked.
Full
time employees receive five paid sick days per
year after one year of employment. Full time employees
may use one sick day per year for personal reasons.
Full
time employees who have completed their 90 day
probationary period will be paid at the holiday
rate for working the following holidays:
- New
Years Day
- Memorial
Day
- Independence
Day
- Easter
Day
- Labor
Day
- Thanksgiving
Day
- Christmas
Day
- Martin
Luther King's Birthday
Full
time Security Officers with five years of service
will receive their birthdays off with pay.
All
SPS employees may sign up for Health Insurance
through Kaiser Permanente after they have completed
the 90 day probationary period. Security Patrol
Services will pay 50% of the individual premium.
SPS also Provides Company paid Life Insurance
to all Employees who request it after they have
completed their 90 day probationary period.
