Officer Screening

Security Patrol Services drug screens all Security Officer candidates for the five major drug groups:

• Amphetamines
  
• Cocaine
  
• Morphine
  
• PCP
  
• THC

Any traces of the above and SPS requires additional specimen testing for confirmation. SPS also conducts random, company wide drug testing.

Thorough background investigations are conducted on each candidate including criminal and previous employer checks. All Security Officers are cleared through the Maryland State Police who require fingerprint and photo ID verification. SPS requires that all Security Officer candidate's weight be proportionate with their height, according to Law Enforcement Standards.
